TOSHIBA Elevator and Building Systems Corporation (TELC) share the same vision as TOSHIBA Group, Earth is irreplaceable. It's our responsible to protect the Earth and hand it over to the future generation. We believe in a world in which people lead richer lifestyle in harmony with Earth. Thus, it is necessary to develop a sustainable society by carrying out initiatives aimed at a low-carbon society; a recycling based society, and a society that coexists with nature. To achieve this goal, every one of us from TELC would take the positive approach to protect the environment and contribute to the future of a sustainable earth.
Environmental Management
- Toshiba Elevator and Building Systems Corporation (hereinafter called TELC) share the same vision as Toshiba Group, Earth is irreplaceable. Toshiba is always concern about the environmental issue. Based on the TELC's Vision 2015, we would like to promote more activities that are harmonizing the society and economy with the nature.
- All of the business activities, products and services provided will be ensured for not opposing the rules and regulations.
- Evaluates and identify the effects on the environment that are caused by the development/design/manufacture/sales/installation/maintenance/renewal and overall management of the elevators with available technologies and finance.
- Improve the current environment management by continuous effort of evaluation and review on the conducted measures and activities.
- Raise the awareness of the TELC's employees, their family and the neighborhood on the environmental issues via education and publicity.
- As a global company, we always ready to provide guidance and support to the related business partners and to work as one to promote the environmental sustainable activities.
Reduce Environmental Pollution by Eco- Products/ Services and Management
- Concern about the impact of the product's life cycle on the environment, always provide and develop product and services that are environmental friendly.
- Improve the Eco-Efficiency of TELC
- Supply Excellent ECP (Environmentally Conscious Products)
- Abolition of 15 specified chemical substances
- Reduce the emission of CO2 by providing eco-products
- Understanding the fact of limited natural resources; we always make effort into global warming prevention, fully utilization of resources and management of chemical substances in order to contribute to a sustainable environment.
- Reduce emission of CO2 that is caused by electricity usage and distribution system.
- Control the amount of waste and try to achieve zero emission at the manufacturing base.
- Reduce the usage of water (living/ manufacturing base)
- Reduce the emission of harmful chemicals into air and water.
As a corporate citizen of planet Earth
- Along with the business of providing transportation system in buildings, we always concern about the eco-friendliness of the management, products and services. We would like to work together with the society towards the sustainable future.
